Materials: Handwriting Workbook pp. 4-5 and give a pencil to each student. Directions: Show students how to hold a pencil. Model the directions stated in the workbook.

ACTIVITY 2 – Teacher/Assistant Guided: Likes and Dislikes I see crayons. I see pencils. Food Like Dislike I see Name _________________________ I see paint. Materials: Print out this slide and give students a pencil and crayons. Directions: Teacher/assistant models drawing foods in both columns. Students draw pictures of foods they like and dislike in the proper area.

3 T ACTIVITY 3 – Fine Motor Skills Activity Materials:
Different colours of playdough. Directions: Students create different shapes with the coloured playdough. Alternative Fine Motor Skills Activities: Sort coloured paperclips into coloured baskets. Students will sort each paperclip into the matching coloured basket. Sort feelings faces (happy, sad, mad and scared) into matching baskets. Label each basket with a specific feelings face. Then, create small pictures of feelings faces (around 4 pictures per feeling face) and cut them out. Sticker fun! Use any tracing worksheet and place tiny stickers along the edges. This will be great for tracing the sight word I. Scissors Skills! Have students cut out straight and curvy lines.
