2 Regional highlights from the 2018 BC Child Poverty Report Card
In the Skeena-Queen Charlotte regional district, 1,340 children live in poverty: one in three children. The child poverty rate for children in couple families is 5% higher than the provincial rate. Children in lone-parent families are particulary vulnerable: the child poverty rate for children in lone-parent families is 11% higher than the provincial rate and three and a half times higher than those in couple families.
