MSW MISSION STATEMENT The Master of Social Work Program at California State University, Stanislaus prepares social workers to advance social justice. This education is committed to social change based on an analysis of social, political and economic structures and their impact. This teaching and learning environment enables faculty, students and graduates to collaborate with others to transform the conditions which contribute to privilege and oppression. Graduates are prepared to use an advanced integrative practice approach to work with individuals, families and communities to promote personal and collective liberation. Complete graduate project in the second year Field Practicum 16 hours per week annually Print the layout (handout); hybrid and next admission cycle 2017 Three-Year Program Average of 12 units each semester Complete graduate project in third year Field Practicum 16 hours per week (during the first 2 years)

Integrative Clinical Practice Specialization for Health, Mental Health, and Behavioral Health Settings

10 Program Overview: 60 units in 24 months
Accelerated Schedule 2 courses every 8 weeks 2 face-to-face class sessions per course (one Saturday per CSU Stan Stockton Ctr. Remainder of course work completed online (asynchronous & synchronous) Direct social work practice courses are included in every 8 week academic session

11 Summer Block Placement
Enhance competency-based skills in direct clinical social work practice 40 hours per week x 13 weeks (500 hours per summer) Located in home county when possible Employer-based placements if available One-to-one supervision from MSW Field Instructor 2 hours per week seminar in a local community 2 all day Saturday Integrative seminars at CSU Stockton Center Summer Block Placement

Enabled webcam and microphone Headset microphone preferred Tech orientation Help desk for general trouble shooting and support Most laptops have built in cam/mike, but are not for conferencing, Headsets avail for $20 most places. 16 Minimum Admission Requirements
GRADUATE SCHOOL A bachelor’s degree from an accredited school demonstrating a liberal arts background comparable to CSU general education requirements GPA of 2.5 MSW Program Application Autobiographical Statement 3 professional references Criminal history form Deadline Feb. 1st
