2 Rules & Regulations It is important that you are aware of the most up to date regulations. They often alter slightly each year. Please check the BUCS website for your specific team regulations, as they will obviously vary per sport Check these yourself before asking us Advised to print a copy and keep in your kit bag for reference If there’s something you’re not sure of after reading through, please contact Louisa

3 Fixtures (General) As captain please be in constant contact with Louisa around fixtures, they will be available on the BUCS website for you to look at If you cannot field a team, you MUST let Louisa know by 4pm on the Monday before your fixture. All team sheets MUST be submitted online by 2pm on the Tuesday before (If you play on a Saturday – 4pm Thursday to let us know if you can’t field a team & 2pm Friday for team sheet) All BUCS competitors must be registered AU students, have Team Aber Insurance and be fully paid members of your club. They CANNOT compete in BUCS otherwise (checks are done every week!) All facilities for BUCS fixtures are already booked and paid for It is your responsibility to provide (and pay for) a qualified ref. If you do not you will be liable to forfeit the game

4 Walkovers & Sanctions If you cannot fulfil a fixture and you do not notify the office, you will have ONE warning. If this happens again you will be pulled out of your league for the rest of the season, as BUCS will fine the institution massively Especially cup games: £300+ fine per fixture – which will be charged to the club BUCS will also dock 3 league points from teams for any walkovers Deadline to let Louisa know if you can’t fulfil a fixture is 4pm on the Monday prior Any later than this, then a rearrangement is unlikely and the opposing University will automatically be awarded with the walkover In all cases we will try our best to rearrange fixtures

5 Playing under Protest If you are playing a fixture, away or home and you feel you are at an unfair advantage, you may fill in a playing under protest form (which you should have in your bag at all times) The form must be signed by BOTH captain’s BEFORE you begin the fixture This form must be brought back into the office by 12pm the day after the game, filled in properly with the rule that was broken highlighted from the BUCS Handbook (I only have 24h to process and submit the form!) We will process the complaint with BUCS and keep you informed Form found here (Appendix 8)
