6 Our airfield modernization has literally paved the way for O’Hare 21, the unprecedented 8.5 billion-dollar transformation of O’Hare, a direct result of the vision of the City and our airline partners to keep Chicago at the forefront of aviation and connected to the world. This modernization initiative is much more than a terminal expansion project, although it certainly includes that. Rather, O’Hare 21 is a critically important and necessary step in Chicago’s ongoing journey to remain a premier international destination and hub — for travelers and commerce. In fact, Powers Construction here today helped bring one of our early O’Hare 21 projects to life - our state-of-the-art Multimodal Facility which was completed in 2018! This new facility is improving connectivity for travelers at O’Hare – thank you!
