2 Behaviour Expectations – our policy
Langford In Harmony Stay on Green Any concerns are communicated face to face or over the phone Star of the Week

3 Routines PE is on Wednesday - please ensure they have their full P.E. kits. (Children must come to school in their uniform and change into their P.E. kits at school) We will visit the library on a Friday (your child’s library book will be kept in their drawer at school) Please make sure reading books are brought in every day, and that the reading record book is signed. Reading books will be changed on a Monday and Wednesday.

4 Home learning Weekly spellings (given out on Monday and tested on Friday) Weekly number bonds (to be introduced later in the term) Reading every night Short and focused home-learning Deliberately practising and revisiting learning in class Reading – handed in on Tuesday Maths – handed in on Wednesday Marked as a class and feedback given to all children All children must complete home-learning to a high standard Incomplete or absent home-learning will be finished at lunch time

5 Curriculum this term Maths: English:
Counting (forwards and backwards to ten from any given number) Addition & subtraction (one digit numbers to 10, including zero) Read and write numbers to 10 in numerals and words To be able to show one more and one less than a given number English: Poetry – an acrostic poem about autumn Sequence a narrative (Here Comes Jack Frost) To write a list - to write a list of things you would need if you were going somewhere hot on holiday. Narrative - to rewrite part of a story (Here Comes Jack Frost) Description - to write a character description of The Lonely Beast Topic: This term we will be learning about the seasons and dinosaurs.

6 How you can support your child at home
Continue to read every day with your child Ensure all home learning is completed to a high standard Read all letters and communication from school Please make sure your child has a school bag and that they bring in their reading folder every day Please make sure your child’s uniform is named

7 Communication I am available before and after school or you can book in a meeting with the office.
