As a committee member you are a volunteer! As a Volunteer you can works towards the Aber award! Here are 3 reasons why you should sign up: Keep track of activities that strengthen your CV Receive recognition for all your time and effort Keep up to date with a range of other volunteering opportunites “… anyone who freely gives up their time in an unpaid role to benefit others or the environment.” Sign in to website to show mailing list product Easy as 1, 2, 3!

1. Register as a Volunteer! TimAber > Volunteering > Register as a Volunteer 2. Log your hours! TimAber > Volunteering > Log Your Hours Complete the log regularly, maybe put in fortnightly calendar Reminder. Be accurate and honest with your log! Any volunteering you do in Aberystwyth, during the Academic Year (September to May) can be recorded. Before receiving your award, all volunteer hours and skills are verified by a member of SU staff. Attending Students’ Union Committee Training Attending events or meetings i.e. Zones and Committee meetings Planning and organising of trips, events, weekly gatherings or training sessions Planning and organising fixtures/competitions Ordering or sorting kit Delivering coaching or training for which you are not paid RAG or charity fundraising Dealing with finances i.e. maintaining the club or society account, securing sponsorship or budgeting Running a stall at Fresher’s, Re-Fresher’s or any other recruitment event Minibus Driving What hours can’t you log? Attending socials, trips or weekly gatherings/training Competing at BUCS or any other competition Travel to and from trips, events, fixtures, and competitions etc. Sign in to website to show mailing list product
