2 Purpose The intention of this presentation is to:
provide a summary of ISO 10018:20XX, Quality management systems — Guidelines on people engagement. Note: Although this standard is intended to address these concepts in relation to quality management systems and standards, they can be applied to other management systems, standards, and disciplines. ISO/TC 176/TG 01

3 Introduction Introduction to ISO 10018:20XX
This International Standard provides guidance on engaging people in an organization’s quality management system, and on enhancing their involvement and competence within it. The emotional commitment that people have to the organization and its goals is built upon the fact that people usually care about their work and their organization. When we consider their engagement with quality we are talking about an extension of this emotional commitment. Published 20XX ISO/TC 176/TG 01

6 Main Changes Main changes of the ISO 10018:20XX revision
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO :2012), which has been technically revised and completely rewritten to be consistent with ISO 9001:2015 ISO/TC 176/TG 01

A strong positive quality culture where people agree upon and care deeply about organizational values, can improve business performance, motivate people Organizations whose people are engaged perform better than those whose people are not engaged Greater clarity in understanding their individual roles in implementing the strategy Can be applied to other management systems, standards, and disciplines ISO/TC 176/TG 01

8 Summary The ISO 10018:20XX standard provides:
concepts for improving people engagement; guidance on how important changes can be made to the level of people engagement with quality within organizations of all types and sizes to the benefit of all interested parties; methods using people engagement to develop and manage the strategy include: greater involvement and contributions of interested parties; greater clarity in understanding their individual roles in implementing the strategy; improved people’s competence; greater likelihood of achieving the expected outcomes.
