5. Locating Print Books Use Destiny, Cobb County’s Online Catalog.
Identify the book’s Call Number so you can locate it on the shelf.

6. Call Numbers
Fiction books have call numbers beginning with F followed by the 1st 3 letters of the author’s last name
Nonfiction books are arranged by subject number and the 1st 3 letters of the author’s last name

7. Checking Out Materials
Bring items to the help desk & type your student number into the keypad
Up to 2 print books for as long as 3 weeks each + 2 ebooks for as long as 3 weeks + 1 magazine for 3 days
Reference books (including World Records Books) may be checked out for 1 day
Barcodes are scanned when books are checked out.

9. Now Let’s Practice
1. Log on to a computer using your previous school’s computer login.
2. Double-click on the Destiny icon on the computer’s desktop.
3. Search Destiny Discover for a book.
4. Use the book’s Call Number to locate it on the shelf.
5. Visit the Help Desk to check out your book.
6. Read your book!
