1 Presenter notes: At Autodesk, we're excited about the future of making things and about enriching our customers' ability to deliver unique, creative, and powerful solutions. We know that you want more from your design software, and the move to subscription is a big part of that. With subscription, you get more – more access, more control, and more insights – so you’ll always be ready for your next project. The goal of this presentation is to provide you with all of the information you need to understand the options that are available to you at time of your maintenance renewal, including a special offer to move to subscription for a discounted price. This is an exceptional offer, but the cost savings are by no means the only reason for you to move. As you’ll find, our subscription offerings provide you with greater value, including benefits available exclusively to subscribers. Toward the end of the presentation, we’ll talk about the different options you have at time of renewal and considerations to think through when making your decision.

2 The subscription advantage
So let’s talk about the subscription advantage. At the end of the day, switching to subscription makes good business sense, both in terms of longer-term cost savings and in the many additional benefits that are exclusive to our subscribers. That’s because our subscription model was designed to keep up with the pace of our customers’ businesses by delivering more value than perpetual licenses alone. Subscribing to Autodesk products provides you greater access to tools and technology, with flexible control and insights to better manage your users and business.

3 IMMEDIATE ACCESS TO LATEST SOFTWARE INTEGRATED COLLABORATION
Greater Access Stay current with broad access to the latest innovations in tools, technologies, and services INTEGRATED COLLABORATION Greater Access – Subscription gives you a broader set of tools to help through your entire workflow (for example: industry collections and AutoCAD with specialized toolsets are only available through subscription). This helps you stay competitive with up-to-date toolsets at a much lower cost to entry. DETAIL: Stay competitive by getting broad access to our latest innovations the moment they are available. You can make updates on your schedule, and subscription also lets you use previous versions of eligible software that was downloaded as part of your maintenance plan. Access to software – Download and work with recent and previous releases of Autodesk software anywhere Integrated collaboration – Individuals and small teams can work together seamlessly, with sharing capabilities built into product workflows Technical support – Get support when you need it, the way that works for you (chat, phone, online) TECHNICAL SUPPORT

4 ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS Flexible Control Subscription makes it easy to manage users and costs by providing access to the right products and updates when your team needs them PRODUCT SECURITY Flexible Control – Subscription provides greater flexibility and control so you can better manage your assets and what you need and when. As part of this, we are always working on improving Autodesk Account, making it easy to add new users or products when a project needs it. DETAIL: Flexible Control: Manage users, costs, and products in a way that makes sense for your business Administrative tools: We give you the tools necessary to find and manage users, software, payments, and updates in one easy-to-use place, Autodesk Account Product security: Trust that Autodesk security experts will help keep these assets safe with the latest security updates available Flexible term lengths: We also give you control over your spending for Autodesk products with our flexible term lengths FLEXIBLE TERM LENGTHS

5 CLOUD CREDIT USAGE REPORTING
NOTIFICATIONS Valuable Insights Use new reporting tools and alerts to understand your team’s product usage, spending, and future needs CLOUD CREDIT USAGE REPORTING Valuable Insights – With subscription, there are new reporting capabilities in the areas of product usage, spending, and productivity that will help you better manage your software and users. With subscription, software usage is no longer a black box, where customers are constantly guessing if they’re over- or under-allocated or unable to tie work back to specific projects or clients. Instead, subscription provides transparent insights into who’s using what and the associated costs. DETAIL: Valuable Insights: Optimize your investment and increase margins by paying for what you use. Notifications: Get notified on your contract status in Autodesk Account Cloud credit usage reporting: Be able to track and optimize how your organization spends cloud credits Budget planning: Subscription costs are transparent and predictable, making it easier to charge software costs directly to client projects and forecast for the future BUDGET PLANNING

11 Move to Subscription Special Offer
Switch at renewal time for a discounted price Continue to renew and get ongoing discounted pricing Save an additional 10% with multi-year subscription We’ve talked a lot about all of the reasons to make the move to subscription, but we haven’t talked much yet about why it makes so much sense to move NOW. So let’s explore the offer that’s available now (but not for much longer.) Switch to subscription at renewal time for a discounted price Continue to renew and get ongoing discounted pricing Lower than maintenance renewal Far below the cost of a new subscription Additional Multi-Year Savings Another recently announced change is that we are now offering additional savings for customers who switch to 3-year subscriptions. (Explore this more on the following slide.)

12 Get the Greatest Return on Your Investment
Save an additional 10% with a 3-year subscription Improved operational efficiencies Predictable software budgeting  Additional cost savings 10% Savings 1-year Subscription 3-year Multi-Year Savings We are now offering additional savings for maintenance customers who switch to 3-year term lengths. This includes standard maintenance renewals and also when customers switch to subscription through the offer at renewal time. For this year, the savings are 10%; although, this may vary in the future. The savings are significant, but they’re just one of the reasons that a multi-year subscription makes sense. Operational Efficiencies—You can skip the procurement effort that comes with annual renewals Predictable Pricing—A 3-year subscription locks your pricing in place. No more unknowns. Additional Cost Savings—All of this saves you time, which in turn saves money

13 How the Savings Break Down
Example: AutoCAD user with one license* Option #1 Option #2 Option #3 Option #4 Renewal Year Stay on maintenance Switch with Move to Subscription offer before May 6, 2020 Switch to 3-year term with Move to Subscription offer before May 6, 2020 Renew maintenance now; subscribe to AutoCAD after May 6, 2020 2019 USD $750 USD $650 USD $1,755 2020 N/A USD $1,610 2021 USD $685 Let’s go through an example of how the savings work. Keep in mind, the numbers are in U.S. suggested retail pricing for illustration purposes only. We understand that our resellers can set any price they choose. In this example, we have a single-user license of AutoCAD, and the customers wants to switch to a subscription to AutoCAD with Specialized Toolsets. In Option 1: Cost over 3 years to continue renewing maintenance (assumes maintenance renewal prices stay the same in 2021) In Option 2: You see the total 3 year cost for a customer that moves to an annual subscription this year and renews for the next two years In Option 3: You can see the customer chose to switch to subscription this year, but chose a multi-year subscription. The customer pays the entire amount up front, but received the multi-year discount. In Option 4: The customer chose to renew their maintenance, but then in 2020 decided to switch to subscription—that means that they had to pay the current full SRP for the subscription and the consecutive renewals. (Note the scenario here is making assumptions as to what the SRP may be in 2020 and 2021 for AutoCAD with specialized toolsets. For the actual pricing, please consult the most recent price list.) By reviewing these scenarios—it’s clear that Option 3, switching to multi-year subscription before this offer ends on May 6, 2020, will give you the greatest amount of savings. 3-Year Cost USD $2,250 USD $1,985 USD $1,755 USD $3,970 *Single-user license(s) using U.S. Suggested Retail Prices. Offering availability and prices may vary and are subject to change. Best Price

14 Extended Renewal Pricing Guidance to 2028
Save Now – and for Years to Come You’ll continue to benefit from discounted renewal pricing for as long as you renew, with no more than a 5% increase every other year until 2028. Extended Renewal Pricing Guidance to 2028 Renewal prices based on SRP. Actual retail prices are determined by the reseller. May 7 2019 2020 2021 2022 2023 2024 2025 2026 2027 2028 No price increase No more than 5% increase Your Move to Subscription price Your ongoing special renewal pricing We want to provide as much predictability and transparency as possible, so with this offer, your move to subscription will come with the ability to project your costs out through As this graphic illustrates, your cost to renew will not increase by more than 5% every other year to 2028 as long as you continue to renew.

15 The Subscription Experience
Here are some key things to know. Previous versions You retain access to eligible previous versions of your software Data storage You own and control your data and decide where to store it Internet connection You only need an internet connection when you install the software and once every 30 days Getting started Your new subscription begins one day after your maintenance ends [NOTE TO PRESENTER: This slide addresses provides more details on some of the less well-understood aspects of our subscription offer. We’ve included notes to help offer more details or answer questions as needed.] PREVIOUS VERSIONS Exclusively through this offer, we are allowing our customers to switch from maintenance to subscription and continue using the eligible products and versions that they have, as long as they downloaded and activated them during their maintenance plan, and only if those products are included in their new subscription. So, if you make the switch and those two conditions apply, you can continue to use those products and those versions without having to make any changes. [NOTE: Previous versions of products may not be available in all languages or territories. Reference for eligibility]  Internet Connection When you have a standalone license, or what's considered an individual license today, where your software is on your computer and you use it, you will be switched over to a subscription with single-user access and this will require minimal internet connectivity. The two times when internet access will be important are: When you first start using the software, as it pings the license server to make sure that you have an active license. And then once every 30 days, you will get a notification in advance that it needs an internet connection just to quickly ping back to the license server so it knows that you have an active license. Now, for those who have network licenses, which are on a server, those don't really change. Of course, as you know, you're going to need an internet connection as you always have to download any software to the server or to get that initial license file. But once that license file is on your server, as long as your users have connection to that server through your Intranet, there's no need for internet connection. Your software Sometimes, people assume that subscription means your software is in the cloud, and that is not true. Your software behaves the same way and lives where it always has. Your desktop application will continue to be stored on your local machine, whether it's your desktop, your laptop, or even your server. And cloud applications continue to be run in the cloud. Data storage Your data is your proprietary information, and where you store your data is up to you. You could continue to store it locally, you could use a third party, you could use Autodesk cloud storage—whatever you decide is best for you. And that data is yours. Once your subscription ends, your data continues to be your data. It’s not taken away from you. I just want to make it super clear that there's no risk there. Getting started Your new subscription will begin the day after your maintenance expires. This way you are getting the full value of the maintenance plan you’ve paid for before switching over to subscription. Your software Your desktop applications are stored on your machine Your cloud applications run in the cloud

16 Act now! Offer ends May 6, 2020 Your next renewal will be your last opportunity to take advantage of the Move to Subscription offer savings. Finally, this offer has an expiration date of May 6, 2020, so your next maintenance renewal will be your last opportunity to participate. What does this mean for you? If you are up for renewal between now and May 6, 2020, you need to place your order to move to subscription before May 6, 2020 to be eligible There is a 90-day window so you can take advantage of the offer up to 90 days prior to your maintenance renewal After May 6, 2020, if you choose to move to subscription, you will need to pay full retail price as this offer will no longer be available Exception: It’s important to note, that there are some products that were added to the Move to Subscription offer in May of 2018 (one year after the offer was first announced). For Autodesk PowerMill, PowerShape, PowerInspect, FeatureCAM, and Arnold, the offer will expire on May 6, 2021.

17 Choosing the right option
At your next maintenance renewal time, you’ll have the opportunity to choose from three options: Take advantage of the special offer and make the move to subscription Renew your maintenance plan Do nothing and allow your maintenance plan to expire Let’s look more closely at the implications of each decision.

18 The Choice Is Yours AT RENEWAL
OPTION 1: MOVE TO SUBSCRIPTION Greater access. Flexible control. Valuable insights. Immediate access to the latest software Get technical support via phone Retain access to eligible previous versions Improve teamwork with integrated collaboration Secure substantial cost savings OPTION 2: RENEW YOUR PLAN Keep current plan, but miss out on savings and subscription benefits. Continue to get the benefits you’ve come to appreciate Miss out on the additional tools, features, and capabilities that come with subscription Miss out on cost savings opportunities to move to subscription through the offer OPTION 3: DO NOTHING AT RENEWAL Use the programs you have and pay full price to subscribe later. Lose access to software updates, previous versions, and other maintenance benefits Give up technical support and any accumulated cloud credits If you subscribe after your maintenance plan expires, you will pay full price for a new subscription We’ve talked a lot about the reasons to move to subscription, but let’s take a moment to see how subscription stacks up against your other two options. [MOVE TO SUBSCRIPTION] This is really the most flexible and powerful option out there. You get immediate access to all of the latest toolsets and technical support that we’ve discussed, while keeping control over your data, retaining the ability to work offline whenever you choose, and being able to use previous versions of the software you rely on. By making the move to subscription at your next renewal, you’ll also get all of the savings that come with this special offer. [RENEW MAINTENANCE] So, what happens if you decide to renew your maintenance plan? You will continue to get all of the same benefits that you've come to enjoy, but you’ll miss out on the additional tools and capabilities that come with subscription. You’ll also miss out on your last opportunity to take advantage of the savings to move to subscription through this special offer. Since that offer expires on May 6, 2020, it won’t be available the next time your plan is up for renewal. [DO NOTHING AT RENEWAL TIME] I want to make sure that that’s clear so you are aware of the impact of the timing of switching to subscription. If you choose to do nothing at your next renewal time—in other words, if you decide not to renew your maintenance plan or move to subscription— you’ll still be able to use the programs you have, but you will give up software updates and the other benefits of maintenance and you’ll pay the full price if you change your mind and decide to subscribe at some point in the future.

19 Summary Key Benefits of Subscription Offer Ends May 6, 2020
Greater Access: Stay current with the latest tools, technologies, and services Flexible Control: Easily manage users and costs Valuable Insights: Analyze product usage and future needs Offer Ends May 6, 2020 Your next renewal time is your last chance to capture these savings Get an additional 10% savings with a 3-year subscription Switch and Enjoy Discounts for Longer No more than a 5% increase every other year to 2028 Benefit from lower prices compared to a new subscription for as long as you renew I know we’ve covered a lot here, so before I open the floor for your questions, I just want to provide a quick summary of what we’ve discussed.
