1 BCHS PROM 2020 INFORMATION

2 Tickets ■ Prom Ticket sales will begin in February 20, Listen to morning announcements for details. ■ Early bird tickets are $25 single and $40 for a couple for BCHS Students until March 29, 2019. ■ These prices will increase to $35 for all students beginning April 1, Last day to purchase a ticket will be APRIL 19, All outside guest forms are due NO LATER THAN 12 p.m. on APRIL 19, 2019. ■ Please make all checks payable to BCHS.

Rule of thumb… ■Keep modesty in mind when shopping for dresses and tuxes for this year’s prom. ■These dress code guidelines will be strictly enforced at the BCHS PROM.

6 Rule # 1: NO PLUNGING NECKLINES
Dresses may not be cut below the bust line. The bust line begins around the armpits and follows the torso at the level of the upper breasts. Sweetheart necklines must not expose any cleavage.

The bust is exposed excessively in all of these pictures.

9 Rule # 2: NO EXCESSIVE BARE MIDRIFFS
Midriffs must not be overly exposed in dresses. Two piece dresses ARE permitted so long as the gap does not exceed 3”. Cutouts on the side must have side paneling to cover skin.

12 Rule # 3: NO BARE BACKS BELOW THE WAIST
■ Dresses may be backless so long as they are NOT below the waist. THE WAIST

14 UNNACCEPTABLE backless dresses Bare backs hit below the waist

15 Rule # 4: Dresses fingertip length . can be no shorter than ■
Make sure the tips of your fingers reach the hem of your dress. No pulling to make it work! Same goes for slits. They should be no higher than the length of your fingertips or 3inches .

18 Rules of Thumb to follow
REMEMBER THE 3 B’S OF BCHS. No center slits. If you have paneling it must be nude and not sheer. 3 inch rule applies here too. If you have cutouts, they cannot be any bigger than 3 inches around the waist.

Final Reminders… ■This dress code DOES NOT limit your ability to show your style and creativity. Though these rules are parameters to work within, they are not final statements about ALL acceptable prom fashions. ■Before you buy, ASK! If you are uncertain about whether your prom attire meets dress code, ask an administrator (Goodson) or Ms. Cain (B206) , Ms. Burns (B205), or Mrs. Solomon (A111).
