10
Year 10 Science EXAM ENTRIES There are 2 tiers of entry
The easiest way for some students to get a B grade is to do foundation theory entries in Y10 and a good practical exam in Year 10 or 11 It is much easier to score a high UMS on the foundation paper than the higher paper Re sitting at a higher tier is possible in Year 11 to improve grades (Best mark of papers sat counts!) Higher A*-D Foundation C-G Year 10 Science
11
Year 10 Science What is in the exam? Examinable science content
Assessment of practical work Focus on scientific literacy Increased Numeracy Demand Year 10 Science Grades Awarded For the Double award course Interim grades will now be awarded. Eg A grade of BC is between a B and C grade. A grade of AB is between an A and a B grade. For the Triple award the grades awarded reflect a straightforward A*-G as previously.
