Upcoming Tests and Assignments
August 25th-Lesson one spelling and vocabulary test over words sent home on Monday. You may help your child to study by cutting out the words and sorting them, spelling them out loud, or anything else fun that you can think of!
Writing/Grammar:
-Complete subjects and predicates
-Narrative writing(descriptive)
Reading:
-Context clues
-Story Structure
-Summarizing
Science:
-Engineering- How do we define a problem?
Math:
- We are beginning chapter 1 over addition and subtraction within 1,000.
Spelling:
-words with short vowels
Social Studies:
-What does it mean to be a good citizen?
Mark Your Calendars
We will begin collecting Country Mart receipts dated from September 1st.
August 22nd- Scouting Night at 6:30
August 31st- School Pictures
September 6th- Site Council at 5:30 and PTO at 6:30

Welcome to third grade! I am looking forward to an exciting year with your children! FYI- I will be out for the week of August 28th while I welcome my new grandson into the world. Cheri Peine will be my substitute and can relay any questions you may have while I am gone.
