Training Agenda High-Level Overview Walk-Through Details
Facilitators are responsible for 3 sessions: Opening, Dialogue 1, Dialogue 2 Final conversation will be an “open space” structure – facilitators may participate fully with their own points of view (while still helping the group to maintain ground rules and high quality listening)

Purpose, Method, Outcomes
We are bringing together service providers, government leaders, law enforcement, public health representatives, housing leaders, developers, homeless advocates, homeless and recently housed individuals, community and neighborhood groups, and educators for a summit on housing and houseless individuals and families. Purpose •Share experiences •Enhance the public’s knowledge •Workshop ideas related to preventing homelessness and housing the unhoused Method •Facilitated process for residents to connect, listen, share and engage in a civil environment Outcomes •Deeper understanding of the issues and solutions related to homelessness •Experience of productive conversation among people with different points of view •Identify next steps for community involvement •A community report on the Summit to be shared with the County Board of Supervisors, county and community agencies, and the public at large

Five Conversation Rounds

What should be done? 11:50 – 12:00 Individual Input Process 12:00 – 12:45 Lunch 12:45 – 1:45 Round 4: Specific Issues Conversations 1:45 – 2:00 Thank you and Next Steps 2:00 – 3:00 Round 5: Specific Issues Conversations Continued for people who want extra time We want facilitators to stay until 3 pm. Important to future processes for the facilitators to experience the entire summit so we can learn as much as possible for the future. We will survey to collect input for continuous improvement.
