Objective:
The students will be able to evaluate to what extent Americans resisted initiatives for democracy and inclusion by analyzing the responses of American citizens toward minority populations in the United States

We will analyze a primary source as a group to model the expectations for the groups as they will read and analyze their own source.

9. Cooperative Activity
In your student groups, you will be assigned one primary source to analyze and report out to the class by identifying the message of the author. As you listen to the other groups report out, prepare to ask 1 question of the group that is reporting out. This may be a clarifying question or a follow-up question.
