Friends It is a high honor and privilege to be complimented by God
We all want friends, but are we “the friend of God” (2 Chron. 20:7; Isa. 41:8; Jas. 2:23)? Can God have friends? Does God want or need a friend?

Friends What constitutes a close friendship? Personal knowledge, regular communication, trust and confidence, enjoyment, loving devotion, similar personalities with similar interests, united in action, agreements made, freedom of access, counsel and comfort

The Friend of God He trusted God – “believed” (Acts 7:17; Rom. 4:1-22; Gal. 3:6, 18; Heb. 6:13; Jas. 2:23) He agreed with God – “obeyed” (Heb. 11:8, 21) He was loyal to God – “faithful” (Gal. 3:9)

The Friend of God He was candid with God – “drew near” (Gen. 18:23)
He was happy with God – “rejoiced” (Jn. 8:56) He worked with God – “servant” (Psa. 105:6, 42)
