4. Getting to know your child

5. Communication…..
We will always talk to you about any concerns we may have about your child and would like you to do the same (no matter how small they may seem)

Share ‘WOW’ moments on paper or online (Tapestry)
Talk to us/Ask us!(in the morning or arrange time after school)
Sept – Reception meeting to inform you about the curriculum for the year and have a chance to spend time in classroom/talk to teachers informally
Time to Talk meetings - face to face meeting with class teacher to talk about progress and learning, held in the Autumn and Spring Terms
Summer term – Report written by class teacher about your child’s year in Reception and their level of achievement.

6. School day 8.40am Doors open and all welcome to settle children
8.50am Say ‘goodbye’ by now and leave by same entrance
8:50am Register
Structured play inside and outside including whole class learning time
carpet and learning in small groups
(snack of fruit and drink of milk/water during this time)

School uniform consists of a white polo shirt, red sweatshirt or cardigan and grey trousers or skirt. Please make sure your child wears sensible black school shoes (not trainers) that are easy to put on and fasten.
