Students with graduate with distinction if they earn an overall B average and complete at least one of the following:

Attain a 31 or higher composite score on the ACT
Attain a score of 3 or higher on at least two AP exams

15. Dual enrollment
Dual Enrollment (DE) is a college course. Students are enrolled at one of three (3) participating institutions: Bethel University, University of Memphis or Southwest Technical Community College.
The first two courses (fall semester/6 credits) are free; charges may apply to all subsequent courses.

16. Dual enrollment grant
The Dual Enrollment Grant is one of the Tennessee Education Lottery Scholarships, and it provides grant funding for dual enrollment tuition and fees.
The Dual Enrolment grant pays the full cost of tuition and feeds for a student’s first two dual enrollment courses
Information on grant eligibility and participation is available on the Tennessee Student Assistance Cooperation website.

17. Advanced placement
The College Board’s Advanced Placement (AP)Program provides an opportunity for high school students to experience postsecondary-level coursework across multiple subjects.
Each course is aligned to a subject-specific AP exam, which provides students the potential to earn credit for postsecondary coursework in that subject.
There is an exam fee of approximately $95.00 Students must take the exam to receive AP honors points and GPA weight.
AP courses available at BHS: English Literature and Composition, English Language and Composition, Psychology, and Chemistry.

18. Dual Credit
Statewide dual credit classes are college-level courses taught at the high school level
All students enrolled in a statewide dual credit course take the online challenge exam to assess mastery of the postsecondary-level learning objectives. There is no exam fee.
Students who meet or exceed the exam cut score receive college credit that can be applied to any Tennessee public postsecondary institution.
Students must take the exam to receive the additional honors points and GPA weight.

19. SAILS Bridge MATH
Seamless Alignment and Integrated Learning Support (SAILS) program targets students that have not achieved a ACT math subscore of at least 19.
Students completing the SAILS math program demonstrate master of math competencies and can begin college in credit bearing courses and are not required to take remedial math classes, which earn no credit.
BHS students who finish the five SAILS math modules in the fall are eligible to take the a Spring Dual Enrollment course (Statistics) through Southwest.

20. Project graduation Project Graduation IS:
-Open to SCS students in grades 9-12
- Evening courses; Up to 4 credits per semester - Credit recovery in core subjects
- New coursework for accelerated graduation
Project Graduation IS NOT:
-an alternative to the regular school day at Bolton (You must attend BOTH)
