2 What is a calendar? A calendar is a page that shows the dates of each day. It also tells us on which day does a month start and on what day it ends. Here is an example See a calendar

3 Counting on calendars Whenever we see a question like: My birthday is on 11th January. My sister’s birthday is 15 days after mine. What day of the week is her birthday? First, we find 11th January on the calendar. After that, we count 15 days later. What day of the week is it on? Tuesday Wednesday

4 How long is a… Check the following and then answer the questions on the next slide. 100 milliseconds – 1 second 60 seconds – 1 minute 60 minutes – 1 hours 24 hours – 1 day 7 days – 1 week 4 ( ½, ¼, ¾ ) weeks – 1 month 12 months / 52 weeks / 365 days – 1 year 10 years – 1 decade 100 years – 1 century
