Mapping Follow the steps indicated to create a special education teacher schedule that is based on individual IEP service pages and the mapping framework.
3
1. Click on Reporting in e-IEPPRO
2. Choose District Custom Reports 3. Choose 4: Student’s Service Page Report to print service pages for all of the students
4
4. Sort the printed service pages by grade level.
5. Choose a different colored highlighter for each of the following areas. Language Arts (reading, basic reading skills, reading comprehension, reading fluency, written expression, oral expression, listening comprehension, etc.) Math (Math reasoning, math problem solving, etc.) Social Skills (behavior support, organizational strategies, decision making skills, etc.) 6. Highlight each of the services under the top section ‘SPECIAL EDUCATION SERVICES TO BE PROVIDED’ (these are the teacher minutes)
5
7. Highlight each teacher service area as follows for easy visual tracking: Language Arts, Math, Social Skills
6
8. For each service area, calculate the number of minutes per day by dividing the monthly minutes by 18 (ex. 540/18=30 minutes per day) *Combine reading and written expression services to create a language arts block 810/18= 45 minutes per day 540/18= 30 minutes per day
7
9. Pull up the ‘IEP Service Spreadsheet’ that is appropriate based on the number of special education teachers at your campus. 10. Use the IEP service pages (highlighted for easy visual tracking) to input all of the students’ teacher service minutes onto the IEP service spreadsheet. Pay attention to the location of services when documenting services on the spreadsheet (general education or special education classroom) 11. For each service area, document the student’s first initial and last name and document in parentheses the number of service minutes that student has per day for that area.

12. Pull up the master schedule for the campus that documents the time for each subject area, specials, and lunch for all of the grade levels 13. Copy the blocks from the ‘IEP Service Spreadsheet’ into the appropriate time on the master schedule note the student with the most service time to create the length of that block Reminder: students grades Kindergarten through 3rd MUST receive their TIER 1 language arts instruction in the general education classroom for 90 minutes so all language arts services to be provided in the special education classroom must be provided outside of that 90 minute block (typically during science or social studies)
