3. Not Your Daddy’s Research Project
This Project is not designed for you to regurgitate the who, what, when and where of your topic’s history.
Throughout your research time, strive to answer the why questions behind the formation of each Colony, or the historical significance of topic as it relates to the colonies.
Why did people move there? What motivated them on a personal level?
What effect did these topics have on the colonies? How did they benefit or restrict the residents of the colonies?
Put yourself into the shoes of the earliest settlers and tell their stories through a first person narrative.

4. Presentation Requirements
Four slides of information, plus title page and work cited.
At least four pictures. One must be a colonial era map, one must be of the founder or associated with the group of founders.
Why was the colony founded?
What role did religion play in the founding?
Early role of agriculture. What was grown there?
What kind of Colony was it, Royal, Proprietary, other?
What was the role of geography in the early years?
Development of port areas if any, early urbanization?
Who were the first settlers? Why did they go there?
What is the origin of the Colony’s name?
