Effects of vitamin K antagonists (VKA), such as warfarin, low-molecular-weight heparin (LMWH), and dabigatran, on the coagulation pathway. VKAs indirectly inhibit both the intrinsic and extrinsic pathways. LMWH indirectly inhibit factor Xa and thrombin via inhibition of antithrombin (AT).
