FGBMFI - GHANA THE MPO/FTO CONCEPT NATIONAL TRAINING
2
THE FGBMFI VISION IS ABOUT
PEOPLE THE HOLY SPIRIT CHANGING LIVES GOD BREAKING THE CHAINS AND SETTING THE CAPTIVE FREE
3
Demos gave us the STRATEGY
Send the men of the chapters out to the people! Get the people saved, delivered, healed outside the chapter. Then bring them into the chapter to be transformed into fishers of men. Don’t rely on bringing the people into our meetings ALONE to get the job done. Demos’ last words to the fellowship: “Break the mold and set men free!” Demos was referring to the mold of chapters that just hold meetings where sometimes no unsaved persons come and setting our members free to go and take Jesus into the marketplace with commitment and conviction.
4
MARKET PLACE OUTREACH (MPO)
Market Place Outreach is simply taking our normal outreach to the Marketplace i.e. where the people are or love to be i.e. adapting our strategies to the specific environment. A place where people interact with other men. Where people do any legitimate business, where people exchange goods and services However, it has a more AGGRESSIVE & TARGETED approach and is more RESULT- ORIENTED Basically it is inviting a group of people to a meal (lunch) at a particular venue and telling them your story
5
Market Place Outreach Could be held on any day of the week
Could be Breakfast, Lunch or Dinner just for 1 hour A minimum of 3 members can organize the programme It is simple, non-formal, fast & cost effective Invited Guests could be between 10 – 30 Could be held at: Workplace Canteens Restaurants Hotels Club Houses – Golf Clubs, Keep Fit Clubs etc. The Chapter’s regular meeting place.

GUIDELINES Identify the Project Driver/Coordinator(s)
Seek for a possible Venue Could embark on a “Voice walk” around the location. Visit Offices or Businesses around, about 1 to 3 days before the meeting and introduce yourself with your business card and invite them to the lunch. Emphasis should be on the business side of the meeting. Do not be churchy or religious in your approach
8
NEGOTIATING FOR LOCATIONS
Have a business frame of mind or attitude and not a religious one Be businesslike in presentation and discussion with the Hotel/Restaurant owners Be very informal and not rigid Tell them ‘’We would like to have lunch with about Businessmen and women between pm and 1.30pm in your restaurant. Do you have the capacity to host us’’?. OR”
9
NEGOTIATING FOR LOCATIONS
‘’We have a convention of business men and women and we are having a number of mini lunch meetings for about 25 people at each location. We have come to discuss if your facility can accommodate our programme’’ Do not say “Our Fellowship will want to have a program in your restaurant”
10
NEGOTIATING FOR LOCATIONS
Get a feel of the menu list and pricing before you commence negotiation. Negotiate cost of meals per head or a buffet Speak with the attitude that we are bringing good business to the facility Stress the need for the meals to be on time – this is key because it could cause a delay – this would not be good for us
11
INVITATION STRATEGY Combination of both formal (Invitation cards) and Informal, Word of Mouth. Let it be attractive. “We have a Businessmen’s Convention and we will be having lunch with other businessmen at Restaurant for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. Will you want to join us’’? Voice Walk to offices, businesses close to the venue a few days to the meeting We could also have strategic MPOs e.g. the military, police, prison officers, Immigration etc. at their own premises
12
GUIDELINES FOR COORDINATORS

14
GUIDELINES FOR MAIN SPEAKER
Your are the MAIN SPEAKER who eventually makes the altar call BUT YOU ARE EXPECTED TO SHARE ONLY YOUR TESTIMONY because we are constrained by the venue and time and as such your presentation should be as business-like as possible SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS Time allotted for Testimony and Ministry is 15minutes as the meeting is just for 45 – 60minutes. There should be no singing and presentation should not be churchy considering that the venue is in the ‘’market place’’ Ministry should include Altar Call, Ministration, Membership Call and the Holy Ghost Baptism depending on your specific location and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Come full of the Word and the Holy Spirit as we have been promised that God will do strange things as we go out that every ear who hear shall fear (Ps 67:7, Jer 50:33-34)
15
