Use the fingerspelling chart, or write down the letter and ask your partner for help
I give them a minute to read this slide, then I write my name in and slowly model signing MY NAME MS DRAKE. I motion for students to sign with me, then I underline “chart I gave to you to figure out” and motion for students to look at their charts and practice. I watch for a student who looks like they would like to be first while students practice, then motion for that student to start! I’ll gesture that they keep going in order around the room.
