4 Common Core State Standards and LTGs & STOs
Who has heard of Common Core State Standards? What you can you tell me about them? Have you ever read through them? How do they relate to services provided by speech-language pathologists within a public school setting?

5 CCSS for ELA The common Core State Standards for English Language Arts & Literacy in literacy, history, social studies, science, and technical subjects. “The Standards” represent the next generation of K-12 standards designed to prepare all students for success in college, career, and life by the time they graduate from high school.

6 Let’s Make the Connection to School-Age Eligibility, LTGs, and STOs
* To be eligible for special education services, 3 criteria need to exist: (1) The student qualifies under a specific handicapping condition, based upon a valid assessment, (2) There is an educational impact, and (3) The student requires specially designed instruction. Click through the different sections for ELA Which standards could be related to LTGs and STOs used for speech, language, social skills, (or fluency, voice, hearing) How could we frame our LTGs to include or reference the CCSS? Complete the 2nd self-reflection and send it to your supervisors You should be starting and completing post-testing for your clients in order to integrate your data and analysis into your final ITP. We will be scheduling final IPPE meetings. Don’t forget to identify a 3 minutes video segment of treatment with the client you have been assigned for grand rounds. We will be watching video segments in from 12:30am – 2:30noon in HEDCO 370 (unless you get an regarding the Clinic Room 188 being available). This will be a potluck. Let’s identify our favorite food to bring.
