Timings of day 8.45am – Doors open and early morning work begins 9.00am – Registration 10.45am am Break 12.10pm – Lunchtime 1.00pm - Afternoon sessions commence 3.15pm – End of the school day Anybody arriving after the register has been completed at 9am – must go to the office to be marked present. Lateness also affects attendance figure.

Over five years this is the equivalent of about half of a school year.

We have high expectations and the children understand these expectations. We share rules and expectations at regular times – these were shared at the beginning of term. We are striving for children to work independently with consideration of everyone around them

Class Dojos Additional play time for all green Dojos. Parent log in for Class Dojo will be created next week.

13 Expectations Please let your children come in to school independently. Quick concerns can be dealt with in the morning but best to make appointments with class teacher in first instance.

16 Assessment Ongoing assessment happens everyday
- Answers to verbal questions - Marking – pink where children have met the objective of the lesson - green where adults think the chidren can do even more - purple is used by the children to make their work better or to follow up after their book it marked - Formal assessment of timetables at the end of year 4 Nationally what is happening In school how are the children assessed and tracked

19 How can you help? Read with and to your children every night
Encourage them to complete their home learning Encourage them to come into school independently and begin to organise themselves for school Ask them about their day – start with what went well. Ask them what they have learnt each day Making sure children are ready to learn – early nights, resources ready, good breakfast. Effective communication with teachers about any changes or problems etc Supporting school policies regarding behaviour and attendance focus. Encouraging curiosity and sharing home learning with the children. Reading.
