Focus: Geography
Computing
We use logical reasoning to explain how some simple algorithms and programs work. Using Scratch, we program a flight from London to New York City, using directional language to move around a map of New York visiting attractions. PE
Dance – As part of the Year 4 Production, we learn and perform a range of dances.

Theme: Multiplication and Division
We learn how to apply our times tables knowledge to a range of problem solving contexts. Our skills are then used for calculating with larger numbers and we learn how to multiply and divide using a formal written method.
Geography
We use atlases to learn about the physical geography of the United States. We also describe the different types of mountains and how they are formed. We research the Rocky Mountains and compare them to some different mountain ranges around the world.
