Percentage – Expressing a Quantity – Non-Calculator – Car Race

Click on a number to go to the corresponding question. Click the ‘Answer’ box for the answer. Click the white box to return to the race. Click the team’s car to move it forward one space. There is a winning animation. This game has sound!

This game is flexible and can be run in a variety of ways:
Teams could choose questions individually, with the opportunity for the other team to ‘steal’ if their answer is incorrect. A whole team may complete a question with one student being chosen to provide an answer. Individual students from each team may compete simultaneously for a quickest answer. Red/Blue team students can be paired. The teacher can then either assess which majority of a team got their answer correct fastest (using mini-whiteboards) or poll the class as to how many red/blue team members won within each pair, and therefore determine the overall winning team.
