17 active C.A.N.R. cases (child abuse neglect report) they are investigating in conjunction  with D.C.F.S.

9. Case Spotlight
On 3/04/19 Officers responded to an assault at InTown suites. Officers found an unconscious male (Tilman Bitsoie) in the hallway, bleeding from the head. Bitsoie was transported to UofU Hospital where he died of his injuries two days later.
Detectives were able to identify a suspect, Ross Letham, and obtained footage of Letham fleeing the scene in his vehicle after the assault. Multiple witnesses were also identified and provided corroborating statements. Letham was later located during a traffic stop and arrested. Letham has been charged with F2 Manslaughter in our case.
Multiple search warrants were conducted and numerous items of evidence and DNA were seized. Digital analysis and evidence is pending.
