TENDER FOR APPOINTMENT OF A BUSINESS PARTNER FOR GLOBAL VISA AND PERMIT OPERATIONS IN SOUTH AFRICA AND ABROAD

2. CURRENT STATUS
The current contract with VFS Global will terminate on 31 December 2018.
The Department will be extending the contract with VFS for a period of 24 months whilst undertaking a PPP process.
Within November 2018, DHA will be publishing an RFI calling for an expression of interest from relevant stakeholders.
Based on legal advise received, as well as consultation with National Treasury, DHA will in future manage its contract with a permitting business partner, through a PPP (Regulation 16) process.
The Department is considering the appointment of more than one service provider to manage its local and international operations.
