English /26/16 What do you think Mark Twain wanted you to get out of the book? Where did the king keep his little armies? Phaneromania – the habit of picking at scabs, biting nails, or popping pimples. Goals – Continue working on the paper. Focus on closing paragraph. Tying together the claims to share what you received from the book. Homework – Complete a Huck Finn D5 that includes “personal connection.” Up his little sleevies.

English /28/16 Huckleberry Finn deals with some serious themes: murder, revenge, slavery, betrayal, conscience, abuse, and alcoholism. Is this really a book for high school students? Would a contemporary novel dealing with the same issues be assigned reading?? How many English teacher jokes are there? Oedipus complex – the desire of a son to kill his father. Goals – Learn to use transitions within and between sentences. Use key words to link paragraphs. Homework – Complete a Huck Finn D7 that includes transition words and key word links. One, the rest are all true.

Does it actually believe that black people are inferior— even if it doesn't believe that they should be slaves—or is it making fun of the racist culture it represents?
