6. Health Hazards of Hookah
Hookah smoke contains the same toxins as cigarette smoke including:
Carbon monoxide
Nicotine
Tar
Heavy metals
Cancer-causing chemicals
Toxic agents that can cause heart disease
Because hookahs are smoked for longer periods of time, hookah users may inhale as much smoke as if they smoked 100 cigarettes or more in a single session.
Hookah smokers may be at risk for some of the same diseases as cigarette smokers.
Hookah smoke contains many of the same toxins as cigarettes, including carbon monoxide, nicotine, tar, heavy metals, cancer-causing chemicals, and other toxic agents. Because hookahs are typically smoked for longer periods of time, hookah users may inhale far more smoke in a single session than they would from smoking a cigarette. The CDC has indicated that hookah users inhale about 90,000 milliliters of smoke during a typical session. Because about milliliters of smoke is typically inhaled when smoking a cigarette, this is equivalent to the amount of smoke from 100 cigarettes or more (Sources: CDC and American Lung Association [full citations are below]).
Hookah smokers may also be at risk for some of the same diseases as cigarette smokers, including oral cancer, lung cancer, stomach cancer, cancer of the esophagus, and reduced lung function.

•E-cigarettes are electronic devices that heat a liquid and produce an aerosol, or mix of small particles in the air.
•E-cigarettes come in many shapes and sizes. Most have a battery, a heating element, and a place to hold a liquid.

8. NO MATTER WHAT YOU CALL IT, IT’S AN E-CIGARETTE
No matter what you call it, it’s an e-cigarette. E-cigarettes are known by many different names. You’ve probably heard them called “e-cigs” or “vapes” or just “JUUL.”

There are a wide variety of ENDS products available including E-cigarettes, e-cigars, hooka pens/e-hookahs, e-pipes, glassomizers (glass tanks with replaceable atomizer heads), vape pens, and personalized vaporizers (PVs) or Mods. These products are often made to look like such products as cigarettes, cigars, and pipes, but they may also resemble packs or large cylinders. They are also sometimes made to look like everyday items such as pens and USB memory sticks, for people who wish to use the product without others noticing.

And if potential poisoning wasn’t enough, defective e-cigarette batteries have caused fires and explosions, some of which have resulted in serious injuries. Most explosions happened when the e-cigarette batteries were being charged.
