Responses to Stress Physical Responses (diarrhea, headaches, sleep problems) Emotional responses (fussy, worried, feeling under pressure) Behavioral Responses (Loss of appetite, avoid people)

General Adaptation Syndrome (GAS)
GAS describes body’s short term & long term reaction to stress Stage of GAS a. Alarm reaction (immediate reaction) b. Resistance (adapts to the stressors) c. Exhaustion
