The Vista del Lago High School CTE pathways and courses are as follows:
Vista del Lago High School’s Career and Technical Education programs offer students exposure to careers and essential workplace skills, technical skill training, and reinforcement of academic skills, by preparing students for both postsecondary education and careers in industry sectors.
CAREER & TECHNICAL EDUCATION (CTE) COURSES

4. Concentrator course: Developmental Psychology of Children
Introductory course:
Child Development & Guidance
Students study the ages & stages of child development, including how parents & caregivers influence growth and development.
Students study the many psychological theories of child development and put them into practice through hands-on activities and community outreach.
Concentrator course:
Developmental Psychology of Children
Students take all the knowledge & skill they’ve acquired and apply it to a semester-long internship in a local preschool, elementary or middle school classroom.
Capstone course:
Careers with Children I and II
