2. What is Supported Internship?
A collaborative venture between key partners which aims to give young people skills to move into employment
Designed to develop transferable skills, knowledge and attitudes in readiness for paid employment

3. Programme Philosophy

Supported transition for young people with learning disabilities and Autistic Spectrum Conditions
One academic year/last year of education
10-12 students with a variety of learning disabilities
On site instructor and job coaches
Part of host business culture
Internship rotations for career exploration and job skills

Ongoing in-work support as needed
