Capitalism: Profit makes people work Hard Competition in the Marketplace Socialism/Communism: Citizens are unmotivated to work hard because government owns everything. There is no competition so prices and provisions (amount of supplies) are set by government.

Because of his many jobs, Truman was a good president. He was able to see the government from many different perspectives, bring unity to the country, and fight for the common people!
