3 Story so far Leicestershire has a resident population of 690,000
Is 800 square miles (208,000 hectares) in size 6,000 staff (12,000 including school staff) We were rated by IMPOWER as most productive council in 2017 and 2018  We’ve saved £200m since 2010 We’ve balanced the books until 2020

15 What are the options? Service Growth is our biggest financial challenge Fair Funding would help, but won’t solve everything The local government position is challenging. Leicestershire continues to be in a relatively good position, despite low funding We continue to focus on income generation, managing demand and delivering efficiencies, but there could be further service reductions

16 Over the next few months we will be:
Meeting with partners Seeking views of voluntary & community groups Hosting focus groups for residents Sending a copy of ‘Have your say on the council’s priorities’ to every household Encouraging people to complete the online survey

17 Your involvement Looking at the key proposals which communities might be significantly affected? How might we best engage with those communities? A task & finish group will be needed
