Problem Statement An experiment is conducted by an Agricultural engineer to test the effect of soil type and nutrient on the yield of Strawberry plants. He uses 3 types of soil and 4 types of nutrients for the experiment. Design a suitable experiment and check if there is any effect of soil type and nutrient on the yield of strawberry.

Problem Statement An IE faculty member wished to analyze the effect of surrounding noise level on the learning and understanding of the students in a class. He divided his class into 3 sections of 8 students each. Then he engaged the three classes in 3 separate rooms making sure that throughout this period the noise levels in the 3 rooms were different from each other. The 3 levels of noise conditions, were: A steady rumbling noise level in the class A noise level that varied randomly A completely noise-free class room After covering one chapter on “Factorial Designs” for all the 3 groups in 2 weeks’ time, he conducted an examination and the table below shows the marks scored by students in this examination.
