1 DO NOW 9/17 Louis XIV rarely talked at meals. He preferred to eat- in huge quantities. A typical supper for Louis was 4 bowls of soup, an entire chicken, a pheasant, 2 slices of ham, a salad, liver, pastry, fruit, and hard boiled eggs. Tourists could go to Versailles and watch the king eat. How did this show the people that Louis was the center of France?
