Dumbbell-shaped schwannoma. (A) and (B) Fat-saturated postgadolinium T1 weighted images demonstrate a vividly enhancing dumbbell shaped mass (black arrows) which passes out of the neural exit foramen. The cord is compressed and displaced towards the right (white arrow head). T2 weighted images demonstrate marked expansion of the neural exit foramen by the hyperintense mass (white arrow heads) (C) and faint increased signal within the cord substance (white arrow) (D).
