2 Objectivos 1. Students will combine animal, color and size vocabulary to form simple sentences. 2. At the end of class students will be able to change describing words to match the gender of the animal. 3. Student will draw a picture of their favorite animal and write a sentence to describe it for a grade.

3 Warm Up Directions: Define the following words and make them feminine. Use your notes or book if you need help. 1. pequeno- 2. grande- 3. corto- 4. largo-

4 Look at these sentences to see how to say different things are yellow
El canario es amarillo. La luz es amarilla. La mariposa es amarilla. Did you notice that sometimes the word is amarillo and sometimes it’s amarilla? Descriptive words end in –o with words that use el. They end in –a with words that use la.

5 Descriptive words that don’t end in –o or -a
A lot descriptive words don’t end in –o or –a. Look at these sentences. Notice how the descriptive word is used. El loro es verde. La pared es verde. Descriptive words that don’t end in –o or –a stay the same for words that use el and words that use la.
