3 What is Crisis Protection?
A benefits program for policyholders to assist with managing the aftermath of a domestic or international extraction crisis event It is not coverage

4 Why did we create this service (Crisis Protection?)
In response to devastating crisis events that have impacted our policyholders To help our policyholders minimize post-crisis risk To provide a valuable service/benefit not covered by workers’ compensation insurance

5 Incidents that led to Crisis Protection
Sandy Hook: 27 people killed by gun violence, including 20 children between 6 and 7 years old, 6 adult staff members, and the assailant’s mother. City of Kirkwood, MO (7 shot; 6 killed and 2 wounded)  2 police officers, the public works director, 2 council members, the mayor, and a reporter were all victims of gun violence.

Multiple claim occurrence with 12 fatalities and 4 surviving gunshot wound victims with many other claims for slips and falls and psych related claims

8 Domestic Crisis Event Multiple employee deaths (two or more) resulting from the following:
Man-Made Events Explosion Arson Bombing Workplace Violence Structural Fire Vehicular Accident Natural Disasters Tornado Explosion Wildfire Structural Fire Earthquake and any resulting Tsunami Hurricane Flood

9 Domestic Crisis Event Benefits
It is a benefit of up to $50K annual, aggregate per policyholder, per policy year Includes benefits such as Crisis Counseling and Crisis Communications / Public Relations Crisis Counseling benefit extends to immediate family members of employees directly involved in Domestic Crisis Event Can reimburse for other approved expenses related to Domestic Crisis Event

10 International Extraction Crisis Events
Involving at least one policyholder domestic employee traveling internationally on business Employee extraction necessitated by natural and man-made disasters including Riot, Government Collapse & Political Unrest Covers countries not listed on the U.S. Department of State Warning Country List or the U.S. Department of the Treasury Sanctioned Country List “WE EMPLOY FORMER NAVY SEALS, ARMY RANGERS AND DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY ANALYSTS TO PLUCK PEOPLE FROM PRECARIOUS SITUATIONS WORLDWIDE”

11 International Extraction Services Benefits
Reimbursement for approved expenses to extract or evacuate an employee following an International Extraction Crisis Event $50,000 annual, aggregate per policyholder, per policy year, for funding these services Not a separate $50,000 benefit for each type of event ($50K for one type of event or the other)

Avoid an afterthought approach by proactively knowing resources and who to contact before crisis Using Crisis Protection resources within the first 48 hours is preferred, as most impactful Delayed response reduces likelihood of services being used and maximized
