1. Sustainability Project- Introduction
You are an energy analyst for the state of Georgia. The governor for the state needs to hire you.
The residents are complaining about how much their electric bills and gas bills are and the state may still have to increase the cost of the energy usage if something doesn’t get resolved. The governor wants to keep everyone happy without causing the electric and gas companies to increase their rates.

2. As an energy analyst you will be reviewing the types of energy the state of Georgia uses and come up with a better plan that what is currently being used.
Determine which sources of energy you are going to use and where the energy plants will be located. (try to limit your energy sources to two!)
Hint: Divide up Georgia by regions or geographical locations to help with this. (i.e., North Ga may be better suited for hydropower because of the rivers)

3. Make a list of the primary uses of the sources of energy

Think about how you are going to lower the costs for the residents of Georgia.

If you use renewable energy sources the costs will be expensive to start but less once the energy is used

Remember that in reality (and for financial reasons you may need non-renewable & renewable energy!)
Reasons for your specific energy sources. Refer to the rubric for details!!
Your teacher will sign off and keep a total of your points

Providing data regarding Ga’s current cost of electricity generation to the state and its citizens.
Must be from a reputable source! Hint: use

Potential drawbacks (disadvantages/problems)
Discuss several potential problems to the energy sources used in terms of economics, environment, potential dangers, etc
