The rebate maximum is 30% of eligible expenses. Funding is available on a first come, first served basis. Municipalities are eligible to submit multiple applications.

12. FIRST TIME APPLICANT BONUS
Additional $0.25/watt is available to municipalities that have not previously participated in the AMSP, for their first project
Up to a maximum of $250,000 per project
The bonus rebate is applied in addition to the 30% maximum

Project cost: $380,000
Rebate category: $0.75/Watt (for projects 10 kW to 150 kW)
Standard rebate: $0.75/Watt x 150,000 Watts = $112,500
$112,500 < 30% of $380,000 so full amount received
Fist-time Applicant Bonus: $0.25/Watt x 150,000 Watts = $37,500
Total Final Rebate: $112,500 + $37,500 = $150,000
40% of the project costs are covered.
