Plan for Relocation + Development
Extend the current rail line from its terminus, approximately six miles, to new Port of Plaquemines. Relocate the railroad from its present route through downtown Gretna, La to a newly constructed line east of (and parallel to) Peters Road and south of the Naval Air Station connecting back to the existing rail line. Relocation Cost – approx. $350 million. Port Extension + Relocation Project
