4 Automated Information System (AIS) Real Time Displays of Vessel Traffic
MISNA has been operating a vessel tracking program prior to 9/11 and expanded the systems’ capabilities since 9/11 in the spirit of “shared commitment” to ensure safe, secure, efficient and environmentally sound maritime operations.

5 M I S N A Tracking Systems Offshore Tracking: MISNA has been using various satellite communications systems to track vessels for over 14 years. AIS (Automatic Identification System) MISNA has developed a AIS network presently comprised of over 200 AIS receiving sites that track over 4,000 vessels daily transiting U.S. coastal waters.
