Key Findings 2% of household members were injured or killed in an accident in the year before the survey. Road accidents were the most common type. 2% of household members are physically impaired -- most commonly caused by illness or birth. 11% of household members had some degree of illness or injury in the 30 days before the survey. The majority of ill or injured people sought at least one treatment, most commonly from the private sector. The average cost for transport and health care for all needed treatments was US $32.37. Most people paid for their health care costs through wages/pocket money or savings.
