5. Automation & Robotics Technology Dual-Credit Technical Certificate
South Montgomery High School, Crawfordsville, Indiana
AART TC is designed to help build a pipeline for high school students to prepare for the local manufacturing workforce in a rural community
Students take all technology classes at the high school
Some general studies courses are offered at the nearby Ivy Tech Crawfordsville Campus (math, English, electives) that are not currently available at the high school for dual credit

6. Frankfort Promise City of Frankfort & Center Township, Indiana
This partnership provides recent high school graduates with last-dollar-in scholarships
Students must be recent high school graduate who reside in the City or Township
A majority of credits are taken at the Frankfort Ivy Tech Campus
Recent high school graduates must complete a FAFSA and apply to Ivy Tech
The goal is to provide a local educated workforce in a rural county

7. WABASH HEARTLAND INNOVATION NETWORK (WHIN)
$38.9 MILLION GRANT FROM THE LILLY ENDOWMENT
Consortium of 10 counties in north-central Indiana devoted to working together to fuel prosperity by harnessing the power of Internet-enabled sensor to develop our region into a global epicenter of digital agriculture and next-generation manufacturing.
Next-Generation Manufacturing: Enable real-time analytics of manufacturing process and delivery systems, and develop and develop manufacturing IoT test-beds.
Develop Manufacturing Testbeds (DMET): Purdue's Michael Golden Labs/Indiana Manufacturing Institute, enabling real- time analytics of manufacturing processes and delivery systems
Education: Develop content to increase regional employees' productivity using smart, IoT-empowered tools
Implementation: Develop digital supply chain network model for participating manufacturers that can be used by procurement managers
Digital Agriculture: Engage agriculture producers and businesses in the Wabash Valley region and develop agriculture IoT testbeds.
Develop Ag Testbeds: Purdue/Ivy Tech (ABE, ACRE, Ivy Tech farm, and regional sites)
Education: Career-ready certificates & ag producer/business trainings for digital readiness
Implementation: Sensor application/adoption
Regional Cultivation Fund: Invest in innovative, place-making projects that increase education, vitality, and prosperity in the region.
Education: Provide and increase job readiness, training, and educational opportunities for current and future workforce

Ivy Tech received an initial $1 million for initiatives in manufacturing and precision agriculture
Next-Generation Manufacturing
Installing sensors in Manufacturing Lab and other locations in Griffin Hall
Developing curriculum to be used in academic courses related to IoT application in manufacturing
Digital Agriculture
Installed five sensor nodes on the farm, each collecting data on soil moisture, temperature, nitrates, and electric connectivity
Expanding course offerings including Precision Agriculture and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles
Regional Cultivation Fund:
WHIN Planning Grant – Indiana West Advantage of Montgomery County, Ivy Tech Lafayette, Bane-Welker Equipment, Co-Alliance and Indigo Ag were awarded $38,292
Goals: to determine if there is a need for expansion of current education programs to include precision agriculture technology; to determine unmet need of the companies in the region who are trying to hire workforce ready employees to work in digital agriculture
Plan to apply for an Impact Grant which would be used to help expand and implement a Precision Agriculture program
