What is Cheque Truncation?
Eliminates flow of physical cheque issued by a drawer
An electronic image of the cheque along with relevant information is transmitted to the paying branch through the clearing house(CH)
Results in better service to customers, lowers logistics related issues and costs.

5. Process Flow
Customers identify themselves by their cards or account number
Insert cheque/s through feeder shutter
Autoskew alignment ensure cheques compliance to IQA standards
MICR decoder auto determines the encoding type (E13B or CMC7)
Optionally capture cheque image in UV light for cheque security features printed by invisible ink
Customers provided with a printed copy of the cheque
Casual Amount recognition can recognize the amount and other non OCR elements
After Confirmation, cheque moves from the escrow station to a stacker
Cheques can be stamped on the front with a rotary fixed stamp and/or endorsed on the rear with a five-line text printer
*The image-scanning unit is made up of front and rear contact sensors that can take 200 dpi pictures in 256 grey levels, 24 bit full colour and additionally under UV light.
