3. VPAF or Designee approves via People Admin for Budgetary Review
Hiring Authority of Department obtains written approval to hire and account number (Position Request Form) 2. Hiring authority meets with HRM to decide type of position, general duties, title, and salary. Develop within People Admin 3. VPAF or Designee approves via People Admin for Budgetary Review 4. Approval within People Admin by next level authority 5. Approval by Divisional VP within People Admin 6. Review by HRM and posted to People Admin

1.Establish search committee
Equity and Compliance (ECO) or Human Resources Management (HRM) certifies committee 2.Initial Committee Meeting. Criteria established based on posting 3.ECO certifies pool and inform committee chair of certification 4.Committee screens resumes that met minimum qualifications for first round interviews 5.Search committee Chair notifies hiring manager and (ECO) of potential first round interviewees. ECO certifies first round interviewees 6.Hiring manager approves first round interviewees 7.Committee chair sets up interview itinerary 8.Committee chair sends hiring manager summary of interviews 9.Hiring Manager forwards recommendation for hire to appropriate official (Salary, special conditions and start date) 10.Appropriate official approves recommendation 11. Hiring Manager forwards notice to committee chair with copy to HRM to do reference checks. 12. Hiring Manager notifies HRM to begin criminal background check 13. HRM notifies appropriate official of criminal background results. Committee chair notifies appropriate official of reference check 14. Verbal Offer extended based upon stated guidelines followed by Letter of Intent issued 15.Official Appointment letter sent to candidate from respective office And notify interviewees not selected (HRM)
